Clover:
NewsClover is a kind of broadleaf weed. It’s a perennial, which means it’ll return year after year. Clover may be found in lawns and landscaping beds. When it blooms, it produces white flowers. Clover’s structure helps it to grow effectively and compete with other weeds.
Dandelions:
Dandelion is another broadleaf plant that is readily recognizable by its yellow blossoms or the white seed pods that youngsters love to blow on and distribute the seeds everywhere. It may be found practically everywhere on a property and flourishes in locations where nitrogen levels are low.
Wild Violet:
This perennial weed, also known as common blue violet, is difficult to eradicate unless the proper chemicals are used. It features heart-shaped leaves and blooms that are usually blue or dark purple in color.
Plantain:
Plantain, another broadleaf weed, should not be confused with the plantain fruit. It’s a weed that grows in compacted soil, so removing it may need some aeration. It also prefers damp conditions, so make sure your grass has appropriate drainage. Plantain leaves form a circular, with stem-like blossoms emerging from the center.
Spurge:
This warm-season annual grows in disturbed soil, such as gardens and flower beds, sidewalks, and open turf areas. Opposite leaves grow on red or purple-tinged stalks. These oblong leaves range in hue from reddish-green to dark green, with a maroon or purple mark in the middle. By branching from the base, the prostrate structure generates mats.
Carpetweed:
A late-germinating summer annual may grow to be several feet across. Three to eight light green leaves that taper towards the base. Found on the ground with climbing tips and blooms of little, white flower clusters. Carpet weed develops on disturbed soil and looks like a carpet.
Woodsorrel (Yellow and Creeping):
Yellow Woodsorrel The blooms are brilliant yellow and have five petals that spread outward. In a rich loamy soil, it enjoys wet to somewhat dry conditions. Weed killers are ineffective against a perennial broadleaf that may survive for more than two years. As a summer annual, Creeping Woodsorrel features heart-shaped leaves that range in color from green to reddish-purple. Flowers have five petals and are tiny and brilliant yellow. They grow in clusters and are difficult to manage by mowing, feeding, or irrigating grass. Indeed, such approaches will help spread. Once established, it is a fierce competitor.
